Research communication is the process translating complex research findings into a language and context that non-experts can understand. Scholarly publishing is the field of publishing which distributes academic research and scholarship. Academic work is published in academic journal articles, books or theses. Scientific and scholarly journals are usually based on peer review or editorial refereeing to qualify texts for publication.
