Ilaria Liccardi is a Marie Curie Fellow with the Decentralized Information Group at CSAIL (MIT) and with the Oxford e-Research Center (University of Oxford). At MIT she works with Daniel Weitzner and Hal Abelson and at the University of Oxford she works with David de Roure.
Her research focuses on user experiences with smartphone technologies. She investigates privacy issues with smartphone devices by creating and devising new tools and techniques to improve user experiences. Her research aims to help people understand and perceive current transparency mechanisms in order to highlight access to and sharing of their personal information and possible outcomes (both positive and negative) associated with it.
