Ania Brown
Research Software Engineer

Ania is a research software engineer with a background in physics, working with EPSRC Fellow Dr Ian Bush. Her research interests are a combination of performance optimisation for large scale scientific simulation and software development methodology to improve the quality of such codes. She will be working on a number of software tools including the material science codes CRYSTAL, CRYSCOR and DL_POLY.

Before joining the e-Research Centre, she was completing her Master's degree at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, working on optimising the adaptive mesh algorithm for use on Graphical Processing Units (GPUs).

Ania's non-research interests include swing dance, board games and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
