Protecting your privacy
The e-Research Centre takes your privacy very seriously and any personal information you give to us will be processed in strict accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998.
Any information you supply will be retained on a database and will be used exclusively for the purpose of supporting the Centre’s communications and marketing activities, to provide you with any extra information you have requested, or in support of events you have registered for.
At no point will we ever sell your data or allow it to be used by anyone outside of the Centre, other than in situations where we are legally required to do so.
e-Mail overload affects us all and the principle behind the Centre’s e-mail communications is that we should add to this as little as possible. While we would like to keep you informed about our upcoming events schedule, we appreciate that if you live far away from the Centre this information may be of little use to you, so offer the option to opt out of these communications while still receiving more general news about our activities.
If you are not already on our e-mail list you can sign up using the link on our homepage.
Where information is provided as part of an event registration it may also be used for purposes of administration, to compile either a paper delegate list to be distributed to all attendees at the event, or an electronic delegate list which may in certain circumstances be publicly accessible. It may also be used for the purposes of advertising related future events and promoting the Centre.
