What is Oxford Supercomputing Centre?
The OSC is a complete high performance computing service available to all researchers at Oxford University. We offer training and application support plus access to a range of powerful clusters and shared memory machines, along with a large storage facility.
What are the benefits for researchers?
Imagine the impact on your work of being able to get the results from simulations in a morning, rather than a week.
Or of being able to analyse data sets an order of magnitude larger than ever before in one simple session.
The facilities offered by OSC are the most powerful in the University and enable researchers to tackle projects which could not otherwise be addressed by local facilities.
Whether you need to undertake the large scale simulation of physical processes or analyse huge experimental data sets, the OSC staff can help you find the system which best suits your requirements.
Getting started
For a quick introduction to the OSC, our systems and services please download our overview presentation.
If you would like to know more about the facilities and services on offer before applying for an account, please contact us and we'll be more than happy to answer your questions or visit your department.
If you are ready to start using the OSC, we have a page to help you get started plus an overview of useful resources and information.
