A Virtual Research Environment framework for Cancer Imaging

This project is part of phase three of the VRE programme funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) which aims to provide a framework to allow researchers and clinicians involved in Cancer Imaging to share information, images and algorithms.

Bio-Image Informatics

The focus of the project is on developing a suite of bio-image analysis and processing solutions to be utilized across the whole of University of Oxford, for research projects embracing the true breadth of the collaboration across experimental and theoretical physics, biochemistry, biology, engineering and computer science.

Image, Text, Interpretation: e-Science, Technology and Documents

Also known as eSAD (e-Science and Ancient Documents), this projects aims to use computing technologies to aid experts in reading ancient documents in their complex task. Image processing techniques; mark-up and web-service technology for building and accessing knowledge bases; use of e-infrastructure; methodologies to identify mechanisms in deploying implicit knowledge and ontology building are the major axes of research of this project; all of these converging towards the construction of a web-based interpretation support system for papyrologists and epigraphers.

JISC: Imagery Lens for Visualizing Corpora

This project explores new visualization techniques for use in large scale linguistic and literary corpora including the collections of the British National Corpus and various smaller archives of poetry.

Lowering the barriers to cancer imaging

This project aims to enhance the way cancer imaging research is conducted at Oxford University.
