I am a researcher at the Oxford e-Research Centre currently working in energy analytics with Prof. David Wallom. We apply machine learning and data mining techniques to solve problems such as clustering of energy profiles and prediction of electricity demand. In my current project we are trying to predict the typical electricity and gas behaviour of a new supermarket combining the consumption of similar supermarkets. Before that I I worked on the WICKED project where we investigated how to cluster electricity load profiles with both Bayesian and frequenstist algorithms. I have also worked in analysing and predicting which businesses would obtain economic benefit when they change from static tariffs to dynamic tariff.
Previously I worked in computational linguistics with Prof. Janet Pierrehumbert. We investigated word formation (prefixation and suffixation) on the Wordovators project. We used deep learning embeddings to represent and model the words and their relationships.
