Lino, from Barcelona, holds a degree in Chemistry from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), and in Computer Engineering from the Universitat Politèctica de Catalunya (UPC). He did his PhD in the field of Molecular Dynamics within the Computer Simulation in Condensed Matter Research Group (SIMCON) at the UPC.

He has recently been working for the "Centro de Supercomputación de Galicia" and the "Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona" at the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) as a High Performance Computer Engineer on parallel and Grid computational systems.

He has joined the OSC / OeRC team as a Supercomputing Systems Manager.
