The Department of Computer Science would like to announce the 2nd Annual Cybersecurity Early Careers Researchers Symposium, taking place on Friday 30th September at the Oxford e-Research Centre.

Submissions are encouraged from a wide range of fields, with the event offering a great opportunity to meet colleagues from other departments. We call on those from computer science, human-computer interaction, social science, psychology, law, geography, politics, mathematics, and virtually any other field you can think of!

This is a perfect opportunity for students, RAs and Postdocs to share their research in a relaxed setting, with a number of exciting prizes on offer!

Streams will be split into 15-minute full presentations, 5-minute lightning talks, poster sessions and live demos, giving everyone the chance to show something off.

Perhaps you have just completed your Master’s thesis and want to showcase your results, or simply have a zany idea you’d appreciate feedback on?

We have an exciting keynote speaker lined up, and we’re sure that we will all learn something new about cybersecurity!

We also laugh at those who claim there is no such thing as a free lunch, as delicious refreshments will be served throughout the day. That’s "free" as in “free beer,” not as in “free speech”!

Submissions should take the form of simple 200-word micro-abstracts, uploaded to EasyChair by Friday 9th September.

Registration for the event closes on Monday 19th September, with no registration fee.

The Committee.
Katherine Fletcher, Mariam Nouh, Jason Nurse, Elizabeth Phillips, Meredydd Williams, Kristopher Wilson, Adam Zibak.
