New Digging Into Data Challenge projects announced

We are delighted to announce that the Imagery Lenses for Visualizing Text Corpora project, on which the e-Research Centre's Professor Min Chen is a Principle Investigator, has been chosen as one of the winners of the 2011 Digging Into Data challenge.

The project, which aims to develop new visualization techniques for exploring large scale linguistic and literary corpora such as the collections of the British National Corpus and various smaller archives of poetry, is a collaboration between the University of Oxford and the University of Utah. Co-PI on the project, working with Professor Chen, is Professor Katharine Coles from the University of Utah. The team also includes co-investigators Professor Anne Trefethen (Oxford), Dr. Martin Wynne (Oxford), and Professor Chris Johnson (Utah), and two research officers to be appointed.

More information on the award can be found on the Digging Into Data Challenge website.
