Nanotechnology standards at the Centre

Nanotechnology standards at the Centre

The lack of common reporting standards for nanotechnology research is a significant barrier to data sharing and re-use. Members of the ISA project have helped the Nanotechnology Working Group of the US National Institutes of Health National Cancer Informatics Program to address these issues.

The Working Group, including representatives from over 20 organizations including government agencies, academia, industry, standards organizations and alliances, has developed 'ISA-TAB-Nano' a general framework for representing and integrating diverse types of data related to the description and characterization of nanomaterials using spreadsheet or TAB-delimited files.
