The Oxford e-Research Centre works with research units across the whole of the University to enable the use and development of innovative computational and information technology in multidisciplinary collaborations. The Centre is strongly linked to the UK National e-Science Programme, and is involved in national as well as international collaborations to ensure its position at the forefront of research infrastructure development. The Centre hosts the Oxford Supercomputing Centre (OSC).
We are now seeking a PDRA to work in Video Visualisation to carry out research in the scope of the project. The main aim of this project is to conduct a comprehensive study on video visualization from the perspectives of science, technology and applications, and to shape this new subject area by exploring (a) its scientific foundation and scope, (b) its underpinning technologies and novel technical directions, and (c) the requirements of its applications and potential practical benefits it may bring about. In particular, the work will be carried out in four work packages (WPs)
The postholder will be line managed by Professor Min Chen.
