Shuttle Buses
A shuttle bus service will be available during the week of All Hands / IEEE e-Science '09 to transport delegates between Oxford city-centre (or their accommodation) and the conference venue.
There will be coaches at the start and end of the day plus a shuttle-bus service which will run throughout the day. In addition, extra transport will be provided for some of the social events. Priority on all buses will be given to those who booked transport in advance.
Morning timetable
Pick up times from Monday to Friday morning are as follows:
Route 1:
07.30 Holiday Inn Peartree
07.40 Barcelo Oxford
08.00 Oxford Rail Stn
Route 2:
07.30 St Anne's College - Woodstock Rd
07.40 St Catherine's College - top of Manor Rd
08.00 Eastgate Hotel - High St
Route 3:
08.00 Playhouse Theatre - Beaumont St
08.10 Four Pillars Hotel - Abingdon Rd
Route 4:
08.00 Playhouse Theatre - Beaumont St ONLY
All buses will arrive at the Kassam Stadium c. 08.30 to 08.45
Daytime Shuttle bus service
From 10.00 until 17.30 each day (13.00 Friday) a shuttle bus service runs between Kassam Stadium and the Oxford Playhouse Theatre every half hour (on the hour and at half past) except from between 2pm and 3pm when there is a reduced service.
End-of-day Service
At the end of each conference day, a return bus service will run from the Kassam approx. 5 minutes after the end of the last session, so please leave the premises promptly. On Friday 11th buses to the city centre will leave the Kassam at 1.00pm and 1.30pm.Evening Events
Transport for the evening events will be provided as follows:
• AHM Conference Dinner - 8th DecemberTransport will be provided directly from the Kassam to the dinner venue.
At 11.30pm, buses will leave for the following hotels only(other accommodation is within walking distance): Holiday Inn Peartree, Barcelo Oxford and Holiday Inn Express, Kassam Stadium.
• AHM Drinks Reception - 9th DecemberTransport will be provided directly from the Kassam to the venue.
At 9.30pm, buses will leave for the following hotels only(other accommodation is within walking distance): Holiday Inn Peartree, Barcelo Oxford and Holiday Inn Express, Kassam Stadium.
• IEEE Conference Dinner - 10th DecemberTransport will be provided directly from the Kassam to the dinner venue.
At 10.30pm, buses will leave for the following hotels only(other accommodation is within walking distance): Holiday Inn Peartree, Barcelo Oxford and Holiday Inn Express, Kassam Stadium.
