OSC Access Policy

Details of OSC Charging & Access Policy

OSC Access Policy

From the 1st August 2011 the way that access to OSC is funded is changing.  There will be two methods of access 1) purchasing time via research grant funding (much as before) or 2) a service paid for by your Department via the University 123 infrastructure charging mechanism.

1) Access via Direct Purchasing of OSC Time

This is the preferred route for users who require sustained and long-term usage of OSC facilities.

2) Access via Indirect Charging

For 2011/12 Departments have paid for access to the standard service for their users via the Infrastructure Charge.

We advise that in the first instance you should speak with your Departmental Administrator about accessing OSC via this route as to their policy.
